Oil, grease, fill adapters, hoses, gauges and other add-ons for your compressor and tanks. Looking for filters? They have their own section.
Oil & Grease: Use Exactly What Your Compressor Calls For
High-pressure breathing-air compressors are picky. Use the wrong lubricant and you get carbon on the valves, contaminated air, or a dead compressor. Here's what each manufacturer specifies.
Alkin (W31, W32)
Alkin approves Anderol 750 / 755, Anderol 555, Mobil Rarus 829, or Alkin 100 synthetic. Change it every 100 running hours or 6 months, whichever comes first. Alkin warns that non-approved oils build carbon on the valve springs and washers.
Coltri (MCH series)
Coltri ships its compressors with its own fully synthetic CE 750 oil, which has been replaced by Coltri ST 755. Stick with Coltri's oil unless your manual or dealer approves an alternative.
GX CS4, CS4-I, 5K grease pot
Use white food-grade grease: GX specifies food-grade EP grease, and has also said any food-grade (including food-grade silicone) grease is fine. Never use petroleum grease. With high-pressure air and heat, it can wreck the compressor and contaminate your air. Don't turn the grease knob for the first 6 hours, then one turn about every 6 hours of running.
Oil-lubricated dive units (VEVOR, Tuxing)
VEVOR's dive compressors call for EC750 food-grade compressor oil; Tuxing's 100 L/min units call for ISO 100/150. Follow the specific manual.
Two things to watch for on Amazon
- Shop-compressor oils are not breathing-air oils. Oils for regular 150 PSI shop compressors (rotary, piston, "SAE 30") aren't made for 4500 PSI breathing-air compressors.
- "Compatible with Anderol" oils are not Anderol. Alkin specifically warns about non-approved lubricants. If your manual names a brand, buy that brand.
Do your own research: confirm the oil or grease against your compressor's manual before ordering. Sources: Alkin W31 manual, Coltri CE 750 / ST 755, Ronin's Grips: CS4 grease pot, AirgunNation: grease for the GX CS4.
Coming soon
Oil, grease, fill adapters, hoses and gauges are on the way. In the meantime, the single best add-on for any compressor is a good filter.
